Cities and Women's Health:Global Perspectives
Advancing Women's Health in Urban Environments Through Public Health Advocacy.
This panel will focus on the work of advocacy groups in the US toward changing policy and practice to advance women's health. The speakers will discuss efforts to promote women’s health in urban environments and describe the strategies of successful initiatives. The panelists represent groups involved in 3 key issues in women's health: Maternal and child health; Intimate Partner Violence; and Environmental Health and Justice and will highlight current and future opportunities for prevention and intervention in urban settings in clinical practice and public health initiatives.
